Fenghuatang Chinese Civilization Art Center Grand Opening in Europe: An Immersive Cultural Journey Begins

In June 2025, the Fenghuatang Chinese Civilization Art Center will grandly open in a major city on the Iberian Peninsula. This marks the first time that Chinese civilization is presented in Europe in a systematic, multidimensional, and immersive form, offering audiences a cultural feast that transcends time and space.

The center covers more than 4,000 square meters and houses nearly 10,000 artworks. It features four permanent exhibition areas: porcelain, gilded artifacts, bronzeware, and jade, comprehensively showcasing the richness and depth of Chinese civilization.

As a key platform for cultural exchange between China and the West and a global window into Chinese culture, Fenghuatang is dedicated to fostering mutual understanding and dialogue across civilizations.

The Jade Exhibition features exquisite jade carvings spanning from the Neolithic period to the Qing dynasty, known for their gentle luster and exceptional craftsmanship. Jade is not merely an ornament—it embodies the Confucian philosophy of "a gentleman compares his virtue to jade," serving as a profound expression of Chinese aesthetics and values.

The Porcelain Exhibition showcases representative ceramic masterpieces from the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. From the vibrant expressiveness of sancai (three-colored ware) to the elegant serenity of blue-and-white porcelain, each piece highlights the unique status of “Chinese porcelain” as the cultural emblem of the East.
More than a material art form, porcelain reflects the ancient Chinese understanding of life, nature, and aesthetics.

The establishment of the Feng Hua Tang Chinese Civilization Art Center marks a significant appearance of Chinese civilization on the European cultural stage, and represents a vital step toward deeper dialogue and exchange between Eastern and Western cultures.

The porcelain, gilded artifacts, bronzes, and jade works on display are all carefully selected from century-old collections passed down by Chinese families in Europe. Many of these pieces are being publicly exhibited overseas for the first time—extremely rare and possessing irreplaceable historical and artistic value. These treasured classical artworks not only reflect the Chinese people's exceptional craftsmanship and aesthetic spirit but also serve as tangible evidence of 5,000 years of Chinese civilization.

Through exhibitions, lectures, and interactive experiences, the Art Center brings ancient yet vibrant Chinese culture into the daily view of contemporary Europeans, building a solid and elegant cultural bridge for mutual understanding between civilizations. We sincerely invite friends from all walks of life to visit and experience the exquisite beauty of Chinese heritage and the profound charm of five millennia of civilization.
